Elk next to the restaurant. We were almost charged by a bull at this very spot the next morning. We were minding our own business, thank you.

More elk. The hotel entrance is across the street. Some of the locals said that theve seen herds of 400 at this time of the year.

not just any geyser, this is Old Faithful. It's faithful in that a given eruption allows a prediction of how long it will be until the next one. It was pretty wimpy when we were there
