BUILDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS
FOR CITY OF HILSHIRE VILLAGE
1. The Uniform Building Code , 1994 Edition, with its amendments thereto,
has been adopted by the City of
Hilshire Village. An official copy is filed with the City Secretary.
The Zoning Ordinance (No. 108) is to
prevail, as well as applicable deed restrictions for each subdivision.
Alternate materials or methods of
constructions must be approved by building official. A building permit
is required.
2. The following documentation is needed for new residences for building
permits:
(A) 2 copies of Building plans. Each building must have:
Site Plan , showing proposed location of structure, fence, driveway,
free standing garages, etc.
Finished floor elevation of house must be shown, and approved by the
building official.
Foundation Plan
Elevations of 4 sides of structure (including sections of load bearing
walls)
Floor framing Plan
Interior and exterior wall framing Plans
Roof framing detail
Electrical layout and load calculation analysis
Exterior frieze detail
Plumbing layout with riser diagram
Mechanical layout and analysis
Other details as building official may feel is pertinent
(B) Survey, signed by a Texas registered surveyor
(C) 2 copies of drainage profile
(D) Tree Ordinance compliance on file
(E) Interior sprinkler system required

Fee Schedule of Costs (3/16/97)
Building permits are required for building revisions, changes in square
footage, etc.
Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Permits are issued separately for
work done.
Permits are required for driveway approaches, culverts, fences, etc.
